Converting a 1890’s rural church in Sault St. Marie MI into a summer retreat for Katelyn, her partner Tucker, their 2 dogs and close family. Welcome to The Entertaining Hygge Getaway, a space designed for a perfect family vacation, game night gatherings, or a simple weekend retreat. Our principal goal is to repurpose the current features of the church while constructing a practical residential area geared towards hosting up to 12 people. It could also function as a potential AirBnB. The primary features are the arches, stained glass windows, and the 20ft cathedral ceilings. Our design will incorporate these features to create an inviting and entertaining environment for Katelyn's home away from home.
